Vertigo is officially present in CSGO’s Active Duty map pool, replacing Cache. That means we have a whole new map to explore if we want to compete. Here are tips and tricks to help you understand Vertigo.
Vertigo map details
Vertigo is set on a construction site on a tall building, with two floors serving as your play area.
T (robbery) appears on the lower deck and CT appears on the upper deck. There are three important areas that divide the map, allowing T to have many options to attack upwards.
A super simple way to get downstairs from above is to jump from the elevator area. Although this map has two floors, it is quite small so the rotation in the game happens quite quickly when the round starts. Listening to footsteps is the key to this map, especially when it comes to distinguishing between upstairs and downstairs enemies.
Vertigo tips and tricks
Vertigo has many ways for CT to gain an advantage. In the video above, at 3min 46sec, CT can stack 3 people to look over the wall at the ramp. This is obviously not a popular tactic to use a lot, but it is entirely possible. This position can be wallbanged by the enemy so be careful.
The video also shows many other positions that players can use to avoid standing in “familiar” defensive positions. It also shows you ways to counter these positions so they don’t get used up too much.
In video two, we have more locations for veteran gamers to exploit. The video also introduces a variety of wallbang positions that you can use to take down your opponents.
Specifically, during this 3-minute video, you will know a lot of wallbang locations, as well as other ways to move around the map.
With Vertigo becoming the official map in future CSGO tournaments, we’ll definitely have more tips and tricks. In the meantime, the two videos above will help you a lot in your quest to conquer Vertigo.
