The UI (User Interface) update of Panorama, which is expected by CS: GO fans, is about to go live.
The Panorama code snippets, which have now appeared on the Steam Translation Server, according to insider information from wickerplayer494 – who often collects information about Valve updates.
The Steam Translation Server is “where Valve puts new code, which is then ‘translated’ by a group of coding communities, for inclusion in multiple locations such as the Steam client, Steam store, Steam community Store, and Steam Support articles. ,” wickedplayer explained on Reddit.
This means that Panorama UI is coming soon. The last CS:GO update was about two weeks ago on May 22, so we shouldn’t be too surprised if Panorama UI is going to hit the ground running in the next big update.
But what is Panorama UI and why is it so important?
Panorama is a theme developed by Valve that is “highly influenced and resembles modern websites.” On the software development website, Valve explains, “The new UI allows for faster, efficient and high-quality interfaces development and smoother integration with game content.” Dota 2 has almost adopted Panorama UI on the Source 2 engine, and it will soon be moving to the new UI from the old Scaleform UI. In short, these changes will improve the quality of CS: GO games, all the stuttering and lag issues will be somewhat improved compared to the current interface of the game.
After 2 years of promise, it looks like this project is about to come to fruition.
