CSGO: NiP speaks out against Fifflaren’s allegations

NiP owes player salary

Ninjas in Pajamas spoke out about Robin “Fifflaren” Johansson’s allegations in an interview with Richard Lewis about his time at NiP from 2012 to 2014.

Fifflaren alleges that NiP owes him and many players large sums of money, including four other members of the CSGO roster: Adam Friberg, Christopher “GeT_RiGhT” Alesund, Patrik “f0rest” Lindberg, and Richard “Xizt” Landstrom.

The current owner of NiP said it acquired the organization in July 2016.

“After the change of hands, we focused on resolving the outstanding issues – including paying outstanding salaries for all players, working with the Swedish tax department, and making it easy for each player to manage manage their finances,” said NiP CEO Hicham Chahine.

The allegation of debt includes prize money when NiP dominated 2013, when the team was on an 87-0 winning streak and won most events. Fifflaren said the money of the players was appropriated by the old management.

In addition, NiP denied that Fifflaren was forced to leave the team. The NiP manager said they had paid off their financial obligations in September 2016 and even invited him back to the organization to work with the team in 2017.

“As an organization, our goal is to make NiP not only an established name, but a team that treats everyone fairly and with respect,” said Chahine. “We will continue to talk openly and honestly with the players and fans about these and any other backlogs. We just want to ask that those who have felt unfairly treated by the organization in the past, to give NiP the opportunity to address their concerns.”

Fifflaren shared with Lewis that CSGO players are not the only party owed money by the former NiP owner. If this is true and more people speak out, NiP may have a hard time denying the allegations.
