Liqud secured a spot in the 2019 ESL One Cologne final after winning 2-0 against Natus Vincere at Dust2 (16-12) and Overpass (16-12).
Cologne’s second semi-final kicks off at Dust2. Natus Vincere from CT successfully defended the site in the first pistol round. The anti-eco tripled with s1mple’s Scout, giving Na`Vi the next advantage. Liquid did not allow the opponent to continue to widen the gap. Once the gun was up, the North American team led 7 rounds with a lot of money.

The second pistol round saw an unbelievable performance from Boombl4, where he won a 1v3 clutch after placing the bomb. This victory helped Natus Vincere equalize before CT fully loaded. Thanks to their previous steady performance, Liquid once again took the lead.
The two teams struggled back and forth, with Liquid taking the lead, thanks to a round force buy, with Twistzz trebled with Deagle. Winning the map point, Liquid quickly defeated Na`Vi at the opponent’s map pick with a score of 16-12.
Going to Overpass, Liquid’s attack started well at B. Triple kill and double kill from electronic and Boombl4 helped the team buy successfully, winning 2 rounds later. Liquid got their second round win, but couldn’t do more to let Na`Vi lead 5-2.
Liquid delivered the turning point in round 8, winning three consecutive bomb rounds, and leveled the score. Boombl4 did not allow the opponent to take the lead, again helping the team to kill three with a pistol. Team CIS ended the first half with a 9-6 advantage on CT’s side.

Boombl4 once again shined, taking a double on A to help their team win the second pistol round at Overpass. Natus Vincere won the next two rounds despite a Liquid force buy.
EliGE single-handedly revived the team in the second half, with an M4A4 treble, inspiring the members. Winning 6 rounds in a row, Liquid equalized 12-12, then let Twistzz continuously use his ability to shoot. Although the loss bonus round was extremely close, Natus Vincere continuously had difficulty breaking through the NA team’s defense, forced to lose series points after four members fell to nitr0’s AWP at A. Liquid finished the match 16-12 shortly after, to face France team Vitality.
