CSGO players have taken advantage of keybind (assigning commands in CSGO) for years to easily perform many complex actions. For example, the jumpthrow bind allows the player to jump quickly and throw smoke without having to press multiple things at once. Such small scripts have long been banned from tournaments, but now things look set to change.
Under the new StarLadder rules, “scripts for jumpthrow” are allowed. Announced on Twitter, the change “was coordinated with the professional players’ association Counter-Strike and Valve,” and the new rules will go into effect for all Minor and Major rounds from now on.
An important update to the Major rulebook posted today. In cooperation with @CSPPAgg and Valve from this moment “jumpthrow script” officially allowed to be used during the LAN-games of any stages of the Minors and Major. Updated ruleset: https://t.co/MNUId3v464

The jumpthrow bind won’t change the game’s appearance, as pro players can deploy it without using scripts – but it does remove this volatile aspect of the game. ESL has banned jumpthrow bind in the past, but tournament rep Michal Slowinski said they “have not been banned from an ESL event for a year (including the Katowice Major).”
StarLadder forbids the use of any other scripts, except jumpthrow and quickbuy, so don’t expect the game to automate everything.
Below is the script jumpthrow, bind with the n key. Copy the below and paste it into the game console (if you want to change another key, you need to change the ‘n’ to the key you want, like Alt for example):
alias “+jumpthrow” “+jump;-attack”; alias “-jumpthrow” “-jump”; bind n “+jumpthrow”
