CSGO: Guide to rush B in Dust 2 with this smoke setup

Dust 2’s Bombsite B has changed quite a bit over the past year and that’s not really in favor of the T side. This smoke setup can make it easier to rush B.

Last year, Valve adjusted the site and reversed the double door, giving the CT a very favorable view from the outside. This change allows CT to only need to send one player to B while the rest stack A, strengthening player A. This adjustment inadvertently makes Dust 2 more inclined to CT. Even when CT is pushed back to mid, the AWPers on the CT side can easily snipe from mid to B.

The only way to disable this defensive setup is to use the utility effectively. The following smoke setup will hinder AWPer mid and force players on double doors to switch to a more adventurous position. From there, T from the vault can safely rush B.

This smoke method was taught by Alexey “qikert” Golubev of Virtus.pro. It starts from A Short. This is a door smoke that requires YOU to practice to be able to successfully throw. Although the danger of this way of throwing smoke is high, the reward it brings is completely worth the risk.

While running towards the catwalk, throw a flash straight mid to blind the enemy behind the door then change to smoke. Place your center in the corner of the tall building and jump-throw the smoke as soon as you’re near the right window on A short. You may have to bind jump-throw if you want to make this throw. Smoke will hit the wall and then bounce back to the double door B-site, blocking CT’s view from the door. From there, T can rush B and check positions in B. This smoke throw is most effective if combined with the team and the effectiveness depends on the player’s skill. This is a very strong smoke, but can put you in danger in solo, because the game will always have an AWPer standing guard on the catwalk. This skill also can’t spam every round in high rank because CT can block the smoke, not letting it land on the double door. However, this is a strong smoke setup in the early and late round, forcing the opponent to consider his decision to stack A.

Overall, this is the fastest and safest way to smoke double doors in B. You may need to practice moving extremely fast on the catwalk to ensure your own safety and support your teammates to rush B from tunnel is better.
