Cache Unreal Engine 1 - Emergenceingame

CS:GO’s Map Cache was recently reworked, giving it a much more jungle feel than the old mechanical style. Of course Valve’s Source Engine still offers great graphics, but that shouldn’t stop people from comparing it to the Unreal Engine. Their differences can be seen in the Cache reproduced using Unreal Engine 4, by the Indian studio 13 Particles.

13 Particles has rebuilt the original version of Cache, but built from scratch with new graphics and look. While the Cache rework you play in CSGO is greener now, the 13 Particles version has a rusty, cracked sound over time.

13 Particles feels very different, thanks to the strong lighting and shadows used in the Unreal Engine. Do you see the cement floor peeling, the grass growing, then the puddles of water; meanwhile, shadows cast from high walls and containers boldly hit the ground.

13 Particles said they were inspired by Wiktor Öhman’s Dust II remake. The studio created its own textures, models, and shading for the remake. In addition, they also use many assets supported by the Magascan image library.
