Summer is here, with many games gearing up for their E3 launches in the fall and winter, these hot days don’t seem like many blockbuster games. But below is a list of PC games that will be released from here until August for you to enjoy your wonderful summer vacation.
Games of May
World Adrift
Developers: Bossa Studios | Meeting day:15/05/2018 | Links: Steam
The MMO game between flying ships is available on Steam Early Access. The interesting point of World Adrift lies in: the realistic physics sandbox system: everything is very real, from the cutting of trees and the pieces that fall from them, to the ships floating in the sky.
State of Decay 2
Developers: Undead Labs | Meeting day: 22/05/2018 | Link
State of Decay 2 is a survival game that requires players to know how to manage their hunger, thirst and sleep, and allows you to use car doors to crash into zombies while passing. The game features a four-player co-op mode and a promising complex and building system.
Dark Souls Remastered
Developers: FromSoftware | Meeting day: May 25, 2018 | Link
The original version of Dark Souls has finally been improved with this Remastered. It doesn’t change too much, but it will help those who have not experienced this series get a new perspective.
Moonlighter
Developers: Digital Sun | Meeting day: May 29, 2018 | Links: Steam
Run an RPG shop by day, go deep into the forest at night to find items for your shop. Moonlighter has cute graphics along with gameplay that combines RPG style and shop management.
Agony
Developers: Madmind Studio | Meeting day: May 29, 2018 | Links: Steam
This horror game allows you to experience 19 levels of hell. Considered the most anticipated horror game of this summer. Surely the game will not be for the faint of heart.
Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection
Developers: Digital Eclipse | Meeting day: May 29, 2018 | Links: Steam
This pack includes 12 Street Fighter games, from the first to Third Strike, and four of them have online modes: Street Fighter 2: Hyper Fighting, Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo, Street Fighter Alpha 3 and Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike. You are free to choose which ‘way’ to hit.
Cultist Simulator
Developers: Weather Factory | Meeting day: May 31, 2018 | Links: Steam
Create a cult and manage it with this card game. Coming from the author of Sunless See, you will have to uncover the mysteries in each of the cults you run. The game looks like it has a lot of potential for you to try.
Games of the month
The Elder Scrolls Online: Summerset
Developers: Zenimax Online Studios | Meeting day: 06/05/2018 | Links: Steam
The Elder Scrolls Online expansion takes us to the high elves home of Summerset Isle for the first time in Elder Scrolls history. Join the mysterious Psijic Order cult, learn skills to manipulate time, craft special jewels, and experience this journey. If the previous expansions of Elder Scrolls Online weren’t enough to get you excited, Summerset promises to create detailed worlds and full of stories.
Vampy
Developers: Dontnod | Meeting day: 06/05/2018 | Links: Steam
After the delay, Vampyr is ready to launch in June. The game will take you to the mysterious world of London when our doctor transforms into a blood-sucking monster. A free-to-play RPG system that lets you decide who lives and dies (by your instincts), and a complex level system – we’ve heard too many promises of a pure free open-world game (where ‘every decision decisions affect games’) before, but it’s rare for any game to do that. If Vampyr can do it, this will be an extremely creative game.
Warhammer 40K: Inquisitor – Martyr
Developers: NeocoreGames | Meeting day: 06/05/2018 | Links: Steam
Martyr is finally launching in June on Steam Early Access following an update in late May. The RPG puts you in the role of an investigator to explore the space of the Caligrari Sector. Along with four other players, you will witness the gore and explosions in the style of “Michael Bay”.
Jurassic World Evolution
Developers: Frontier | Meeting day: 12/06/2018 | Link
Dinosaur Park this time is not simply action or chase scenes, but it is the management of Dinosaur Park. Let’s read through the Review of this game: Jurassic World Evolution: the most beautiful dinosaur world in the game village.
The Crew 2
Developers: Ivory Tower | Meeting day: June 29, 2018 | Link
Ubisoft’s open-world racing game is back, along with boats and planes. The most interesting feature of the game is the ability to change vehicles while racing – or flying – changing from car to plane to boat.
Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy
Developers: Vicarious Visions, Naughty Dog | Meeting day: 30/06/2018 | Link
Activision and Vicarious Visions have brought back Naughty Dog’s original Crash titles: Crash Bandicoot, Cortex Strike Back and Warped. These three games previously appeared on PS4 last year, and now they will air for the first time on PC.
Games of July and August
The Banner Saga 3
Developers: Stoic | Meeting day: 24/07/2018 | Links: Steam
Banner Saga continues to be loyal to the turn-based tactical system. The Viking RPG promises “more tactical depth” and more customization. If you haven’t experienced the first two parts, try them to be able to continue Banner Saga at the end of July.
Death’s Gambit
Developers: Jean Canellas, Alex Kubodera | Meeting day: August 14, 2018 | Links: Steam
This extremely challenging action RPG from Adult Swim, Death’s Gambit promises arbitrary exploration, massive bosses, and a plethora of weapons and character customization. This game will probably make your character die as much as… Dark Souls.
World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth
Developers: Blizzard | Meeting day: August 14, 2018 | Links: Battle.net
After the launch of Legion, the standards of World of Warcraft’s next expansion were pushed higher. Battle for Azeroth drops the Legion storyline to recreate the battle between the might Horde faction and the noble Alliance once again. With each faction declaring war on each other, the new PvPvE system is sure to refresh World of Warcraft.
Pro Evolution Soccer 2019
Developers: Konami | Meeting day: August 30, 2018 | Links: Steam
PES 2018 finally gave PC players a version of themselves, instead of taking from the previous generation console. This time around, we’ll be playing on Fox Engine, 4K support, and “the biggest changes to myClub in years.” PES 2018 has been quite successful, so hopefully PES 2019 will follow the senior.
Other titles that may be released this summer
Wargroove: Chucklefish’s strategy game is due out this year, possibly before the fall, but the game has yet to confirm an official release date.
Crackdown 3: There is currently no release date, but the game will hit shelves this year, possibly earlier than planned due to the blockbusters coming this fall.
Memeories of Mars: According to the game’s Steam page, the survival multiplayer open-world Mars game will launch on Early Access this ‘spring 2018’.
Space Junkies: Ubisoft’s VR shooter was previously said to be released this spring. If you are prone to motion sickness, it is best not to eat anything before trying this 360-degree flying game with jetpack.
