Constantly in controversy, Fortnite was sued again for stealing the museum design idea

This is not the first time Fortnite accused of copyright infringement but it seems Epic Games have not yet learned their lesson. Recently, the owner of Coral Castle Museum (Coral Castle Museum) filed a lawsuit against Epic Games for stealing the museum design idea without even asking for permission.

Located south of Miami, the Coral Castle Museum is a large garden with uniquely sculpted rock formations and a mini golf course. This is the result of nearly 30 years of construction by the passionate guy Edward Leedskalnin to mark his unrequited love. At the age of 25, Leedskalnin was engaged to a girl nearly 10 years younger than him, but the night before the wedding, the girl suddenly changed her mind and left. After the emotional event was tormented by tuberculosis, he left his native Latvia to come to America, where he built this project alone. The castle is made entirely of stone, they are fastened together without the use of mortar, as the ancient construction techniques have been lost over time.

According to the lawsuit, some of the museum’s signature designs were reimagined by Epic Games and added to the Fortnite map earlier this month without permission. Currently, the owner of the museum wants Epic Games to remove all these details from Fortnite and to pay damages for intentionally profiting from this famous work. “The textures related to the beach, the castle structure, the walls and the stone objects in the game are quite similar to the design of the museum. They all evoke the feeling of an old place that has been around for centuries.”

Quite a shame for Epic Games when Fortnite was just kicked out of the AppStore and Google Play not long after this lawsuit was continued. The game company has not yet commented on this incident
