Steam released its annual report on sales figures for 2020, revealing accurate information about the “bumper” games of the year. According to the report, Destiny 2, Fall Guys, Cyberpunk 2077 and Among Us are the names with the highest revenue in the past 12 months.

In the report, the games are divided into various categories, including best selling game, Top new released games and most played. In each category, the games are ranked in platinum, gold, silver and bronze tiers, with platinum in the lead. Each tier is in a random order, allowing multiple games and companies to appear on Steam’s leaderboard. Platinum tier bestsellers include Red Dead Redemption 2, Grand Theft Auto 5, Doom Eternal and some others. Phasmophobia only available in the gold tier despite the horror title dominating the charts throughout October.

Half-Life: Alyx, Crusader Kings 3, Death Stranding and Star Wars: Squadrons are among the top new releases, and Hades is certainly the name that impresses with the record for the earliest game to finish Early Access. .

Cyberpunk 2077 broke the single-player game record on Steam and is also in the most played game category along with Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Life Is Strange 2.

Valve also released some interesting statistics such as players prefer to use the controller when playing The Witcher 3, Persona 4 and Monster Hunter: World or Half-Life: Alyx are among the most popular VR games in 2020.
