Artificial intelligence (AI) is growing day by day.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is one of the best open world games today, not because it has a great story, top graphics, but also because of the detail to each NPC in the game. CD Projekt Red released The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt more than six years ago and even the game is still loved by many gamers, playing to this day. That’s thanks to the extremely realistic in-game world, with the NPCs being attentive to every detail.
Recently, a fan of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt used an AI program to make random NPCs throughout the game more realistic. And the results for gamers will not be disappointed when the NPCs in The Witcher 3 look like real outsiders.
When released in 2013, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was considered one of the best graphics games of its time. However, due to ever-changing technology in the gaming world, there are now many titles with better, more detailed graphics. That’s not to say the graphics in The Witcher 3 are now considered bad, but they’re not as revolutionary as they once were. Aware of this, the fan community has taken steps to make CD Projekt Red’s action RPG more realistic than ever.
Specifically, a gamer named gutekx12 on the Reddit forum used AI to make the NPCs in The Witcher 3 more realistic. The end result creates an image that looks extremely realistic, many other gamers were even surprised because they thought this was a picture of a real person. However, there are some notable elements that the AI is not really perfect, such as every NPC now has blue eyes. Gutekx12 tried applying the same AI to some of the game’s main characters, but the results “made them look weird”.
It is known that The Witcher is an action and role-playing game series developed by CD Projekt Red based on the Saga Witcher novel series by Polish writer Andzej Sapkowski. After its debut in October 2007, The Witcher quickly achieved many unexpected successes. Then in 2011 and 2015, the sequels of The Witcher were respectively released with the names Assassins of Kings and Wild Hunt.
As for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, the game received 2 titles of the best game of the year at E3 2015 and The Game Awards. As of June 2016, CD Projekt RED announced that sales of the entire The Witcher series have reached 18 million copies.
