Carrion, the horror game where you control monsters

Carrion, the horror game where you control monsters

In order to create an atmosphere of tension and fear, many horror games put players in the role of weak characters, trying to protect themselves from monsters that endanger their lives. However, the PC horror game Carrion does the exact opposite. Now, players will control monsters to kill people.

In Carrion, the player takes control of an “alien creature.” This crimson monster will prowl and bloody slaughter its victims in the most brutal way. Players have special skills to do this, however further details are yet to be announced at this time.

While players wait for more information about Carrion, you can check out the game’s trailer below:

The trailer shows that Carrion’s graphics are quite dark, and it is more ‘gore’ than other games of the same genre. Although using 2D pixel strokes, many people with weak eyes will find it difficult to watch the trailer all the way. Some people will find the level of violence and gore to be positive points of the game, but others will have to jump for the same reason.

Regardless of how you feel about the violence in Carrion, the game’s distinctive gameplay is attracting attention. It seems that horror fans are excited to try being a monster, as opposed to the hopeless victimization they often see in horror games. Given the success of games like Friday the 13th: The Game, where players play as horror icon Jason Voorhees, and Dead by Daylight, it’s not surprising that a game like Carrion comes out.

Whether Carrion can create a quality product or not, we have to wait and see. However, the game quickly gained traction thanks to this eye-catching trailer, and it will probably be one of the horror games worth looking forward to coming out.

Carrion is currently in development on PC.
