It looks like a new Capcom title is ready to be tested – it could be the new Resident Evil game. Capcom Division 1, the team behind the Devil May Cry games, has reached out to Japan’s Resident Evil ambassadors – the series’ fanbase – with emails looking for players to try out the new game they’re developing.

Posted on Biohaze, the Japanese email reads as follows: To the Resident Evil ambassadors, thank you for sticking with the Resident Evil series. Today, we want to let everyone know that the team is recruiting testers for the game in development!”

“We want to get feedback from all Ambassadors about the game. Please read below and if interested, click the join button.”

The email does not say the name of the game or any other details. Currently, we don’t know if this is a completely new game or a series. However, the email was sent specifically to Resident Evil ambassadors – known in Japan as Biohazrd. The email also thanked them for their “stickiness” with the survival horror series, indicating that this will most likely be the new Resident Evil game.

Looks like it’s still a long way off for Resident Evil 8 or it’s already in development. Maybe RE8 is the game Capcom wants testers to play. However, with the success of Resident Evil 2 Remake, it is also possible that this is a Resident Evil 3 remake.

In May, the company said “although they can’t say exactly how many games will be released, there are many titles being developed in-house using the RE Engine”, but did not say exactly if it was a Resident game. Evil or not. Hopefully we will have more news about this project soon.
