Capcom Home Arcade console is finally announced by Capcom. Not only does it come with 16 classic arcade games, Capcom Home Arcade also comes with a two-player controller – the console itself is the handle. This is considered a rather special project of Capcom, it is currently sold at Capcom Europe store for 229.99€.
For €229.99, you’ll get 16 classic Capcom games available on the Capcom Home Arcade console, including rare titles like: Alien vs. Predator, Giga Wingand Progear. Popular games like Street Fighter 2: Hyper Fighting, Ghouls ‘n Ghostsand Final Fight also participate. While Capcom didn’t say if other games can be downloaded, the system appears to be modding, allowing players to download their own Arcade games.
The hardware of this console is very special. The table of the machine is designed according to the Capcom logo, and the setup of two Joysticks (6 buttons on each side of the control area) is mounted at the top. The system will be powered by micro USB, an HDMI port, and built-in Wi-Fi so you can share your scores on online leaderboards.
Capcom Home Arcade’s emulator will run on the FB Alpha open emulator. Previously, FB Alpha banned the use of emulator software for commercial purposes. However, this issue was quickly resolved when the official FB Alpha Twitter account confirmed that the emulator software had been licensed to Capcom.
Hopefully, this Capcom Home Arcade console will soon be available in other regions, not just limited to Capcom Europe.
Capcom Home Arcade will go on sale October 25, 2019.
