Call of Duty developer set up a separate MXH account to denounce hackers

When Call of Duty: WWII Rated as one of the best online games of 2017, Sledgehammer continues to struggle against the hack games, especially for the PC platform which has easier access to hacking tools. Therefore, this developer had to rely on the social network Twitter to improve the ability to receive reports.

Ban_Hammer account recommends the PC gaming community to report all suspicious cases of hacking in Call of Duty: WWII by providing video evidence and the subject’s Steam ID.

Although it was released in early November, the number of sales of Call of Duty: WWII has reached 56,000 copies. According to SteamCharts statistics, this game has sales far beyond its predecessors and is able to compete with the famous Black Ops series, Black Ops games have sales at about 60,000.

However, the development of the gaming community also goes hand in hand with the rapid increase of hackers. Before Call of Duty: WWII had to set up a subreddit (a topic discussion page) on Reddit just to collect hacker reports and was quickly flooded with feedback. Some gamers even commented: “It’s getting harder and harder to find a match in WW2 Open Beta without a hacker openly cheating. There was a time when I fought 5 matches in a row and met a hacker.” Even under the developer’s latest announcement on Twitter, there is a lot of evidence that gamers collect.

Anyway, the purpose of the Beta phase is also to find cheating problems like this. Gamers can only hope that Sledgehammer and Raven will quickly tighten security before the final version is released next month.
