Bungie is preparing to release Destiny 2’s Shadowkeep expansion. Shadowkeep is seen as Bungie’s transition to becoming an indie developer. In it, they will release Destiny 2 New Light, the free version of the game. Bungie is now also available to talk about preparations for Shadowkeep.
On Twitter, the Bungie account confirmed they would be offering a discount Forsaken Complete Collection. And for those who own the Destiny 2 Forsaken expansion, the Forsaken Annual Pass will also be given away for free. This way, Destiny 2 gamers can prepare for the upcoming Shadowkeep at a relatively low cost.
Destiny 2 Forsaken Complete Collection is the fastest way for players to catch up on content. The Forsaken Complete Collection includes the original Destiny 2, the Year 1 expansion, the Forsaken, and the Forsaken Annual Pass. That’s all current Destiny 2 content. The current price of Destiny 2 Forsaken Complete Collection is $25 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It will likely be priced similarly on PC when the game is officially available on Steam from October 1st.
Bungie will then give away a free Forsaken Season Pass to Forsaken owners. There are several reasons for this decision. One is because Bungie wants all players to catch up with Forsaken, and having to buy a Season Pass won’t hold players back too much. Second, the PC version of Destiny 2 moving from Battle.net to Steam shouldn’t be too complicated. Purchase of the game Destiny 2 has now been removed from the Battle.net store.
For players, this is a pretty good price. If you already own Forsaken then you are ready for anything. Otherwise, Forsaken Complete Collection costs $25. Shadowkeep will cost an additional $35 or $60 for the Delute Edition, which includes next year’s Season content. And if they’re still too expensive, from October onwards, Destiny 2 New Light will be free.
Destiny 2 is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Shadowkeep launches on October 1st.
