Battle.net 2.0 is coming soon and users will experience many big changes in this update.
Battle.net, Blizzard’s game launcher, is getting some big updates soon. The changes focus on managing the game library making it easier to control with the new interface. Battle.net 2.0 allows players to choose their favorite games and organize them as they please.
Other improvements include moving the hotbar with all game logos to the top. This creates space to redo the friends pane on the right, allowing you to see your friends list faster. It also shows what each friend is playing or doing while they’re online. Another social update is to unify message notifications and other status updates.
Using Battle.net 2.0 has also improved with an update that lets you scroll through apps using just the keyboard. Blizzard also improved the color contrast app.
These are really necessary changes for Overwatch and World of Warcraft gamers. But Blizzard says it hasn’t finished developing Battle.net 2.0 yet. This update is just the “starter” and new features will be added soon in the near future.
This update will be available in North America first. The developer will be monitoring this region first, testing for stability before updating it for the rest of the regions over the next few weeks.
