BIG Clan continued their great CSGO performance in Europe by defeating Team Vitality in CS Summit 6.
Despite being led by one map because Vitality had the advantage of the winning branch, BIG won three of the four maps to take the European CS Summit 6 crown. The second Regional Ranking Tournament of the French team did not go as expected, when they lost one of their map picks, Overpass, to BIG. On the BIG side, Ismailcan “XANTARES” Dörtkardeş scored +17 with a KDA of 83-66 in four maps, scoring an impressive 1.22 rating. XANTARES has left many highlights showing his shooting talent.

The order of pick and ban between BIG vs Vitality is as follows:
- Big ban Vertigo
- Vitality ban Train
- Big pick Mirage
- Vitality picks Inferno
- BIG pick Dust 2
- Vitality picks Overpass
- Nuke is the other map
BIG and Vitality won with their map picks
The match took place with Mirage being the map pick of BIG. The German team took the first 5 rounds and set the stage for the rest of the series. Vitality refuses to give up the Mirage map entirely. Team star Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut shined as soon as Vitality stabilized the economy, wielding the familiar AWP to create a lot of great tackles.
His best highlight occurred on the CT side of Vitality when ZywOo took four kills at bombsite A without letting his teammates hover at all.
But ZywOo’s ability was not enough to help the team win BIG’s map pick. Despite coming back to the close 8-7, BIG could not stop the CT side. The German team crushed the opponent in the next round and won 8 of the remaining 9 rounds to end Mirage with a score of 16-8.
Inferno is the next map, as viewers witness the round unfolding quite familiar to Mirage. Vitality took an early lead 7-1 on CT’s side before BIG won consecutive rounds, bringing Inferno back to 8-7. Here, Florian “syroN” Rische had an outstanding 1vs3 clutch showing the talent of this young AWPer.
Similar to what BIG did at Mirage, Vitality played explosively in Inferno, with ZywOo reaching a rating of 1.4 on the T side, helping the French team win the map pick with a score of 16-11.
BIG extinguishes Vitality at Dust 2 and Overpass
Despite the tense first two maps, CS Summit 6 closed with two 16-10 victories by BIG. Dust 2 and Inferno are both in favor of BIG, with Nils “k1to” Gruhne and Tizian “tiziaN” Feldbusch winning big. The duo carried BIG in the last map of the series. Overall, BO5 was quite messy for both teams. They all lost rounds easily, allowing their opponents to win with just greens.

While ZywOo and XANTARES both have over 80% KAST percentages, it’s BIG’s extra stars that create the team’s success. Vitality’s Cédric “RpK” Guipouy performed poorly throughout the series, finishing with a KD of 50-74 and a rating of only 0.77.
With this victory, BIG brings back 2,000 Regional Ranking points and a prize money of $34,000. Thanks to that, BIG moved up 8 places on the rankings and won the Challenger title for the only Major CSGO of 2020 which is ESL One Rio.
