The game’s publisher has announced it will give $500,000 to Direct Relief, a charity that provides protective gear to frontline healthcare workers. Another $250,000 will be donated to Unicef to help children around the world. The final $250,000 will be for countermeasures efforts Covid-19 virus in the local areas around ‘s studio Bethesda Softworks in North America and elsewhere.
During this time, employees of Bethesda will be streaming games on Twitch from home to launch their #BethesdaAtHome campaign. Followers will have the opportunity to contribute to the charities mentioned earlier during the streams.
While employees are all working from home, Bethesda is still able to release the free Wastelanders expansion of Fallout 76 at the original scheduled time. The expansion includes NPCs, a dialogue tree, two new characters, and more items.
