As if nothing could surprise us at Midas Mode 2.0, the North American team representing beastcoast created a situation that has never happened in a Dota tournament.

The competition day begins with the first round of the tournament. El Classico match between TI3 Alliance champion vs TI1 champion Na`Vi. The series features familiar heroes from the TI champions, like Akke’s Keeper of the Light and AdmiralBulldog’s Nature’s Prophet. Those are the heroes that helped them defeat their arch rival in the TI3 finals.

Moving on to the NA group stage, J.Storm has their first match against Anvorgesa and they use beastcoast’s stand-in Brax. The final series of the day was scheduled to be a match between beastcoast and Fighting Peppegas, however as they were about to enter the draft phase, the beastcoast players announced that the team had disbanded and would not play the final series.

Forced to find a quick solution, the organizers quickly created the lineup. all casters to ensure the event runs on schedule.
