Last night, the official Twitter page of Battlefield 5 announced the complete trailer for the fifth chapter of the game. This time with a new free update, players will go back in time to Pacific War in the last century, at the same time DICE also revealed about the return of Wake Island – the map that is most loved by players.
In the Pacific war update, the game will add two new factions – the US armed forces and the Imperial Japanese army, along with a bunch of new weapons like katana and M2 flamethrowers Flamethrower. Players can also go around in the M4 Sherman tank, customized to make the vehicles more convenient and professional.
The update introduces players to 3 new maps, Iwo Jima – the map that appeared for the first time in Battlefield 1942 was reimagined in this sequel. However, what interests gamers most is the aerial shot of Wake Island that appears at the end of the trailer, which is one of the most iconic maps of the Battlefield series and looks like it will be available soon. This is perhaps the most important update to Battlefield 5 after a series of post-release troubles – game modes canceled and DICE struggling to keep up with the set path. War of the Pacific is expected to break out in Battlefield 5 on October 31.
