Battle Royale in Fortnite is challenging, whether you’re a new player or an old player. Here are 8 tips from Fortnite expert Gernader Jake to help us survive the storm and become the last survivor.
Active play
This is the single most important thing you can do to improve your skills in Fortnite, and this is something that the vast majority of new players shy away from. In a game where survival is the goal of victory, active play can seem a bit counterintuitive. However, the key to survival is knowing how to defeat the enemy in combat. The more you collide, the more you get on your hands. The higher your hand, the more dangerous you become. When you hear gunfire, walk towards them. When you see an opponent moving closer, engage them. When you see a clump of grass, don’t hide in it! Play proactively, stay engaged and be an effective shooter.
Master the healing system
Health is the blue bar at the bottom of the screen. The player starts the match with 100 full health. Your armor is the blue bar right above the health bar, and this bar starts at 0. The only way to increase armor is to pick up shield potions or slurp juices on the map. thing. When you take damage from an enemy, your armor will be removed before it affects health. However, armor does not protect you from damage from storms or falls, so keep an eye on your health bar.
Remember that players do NOT heal themselves. You have to find 1 of 4 healing items or get armor and need to understand their features to make the most of them. The first is ‘bandages’. Each bandage heals 15 health, but only heals up to the 75 line. To get over 75 you need medkit or slurp juice. Medkit will always heal you for 100, no matter how low. Slurp juice is a bit more special because it heals both health and armor. When Slurp Juice is used, the player heals 1 health and 1 armor per second for 25 seconds. Finally a shield potion, increasing armor by 50 instantly. It takes time to understand and master this system so that you can heal effectively.
Know your arsenal and prepare for any eventuality
In the Battle Royale mode in Fortnite, weapons are divided into 5 levels based on 5 colors. From weakest to strongest: gray, green, blue, purple, and yellow/orange. Remember yourself – it’s very important. In each match, try to find powerful weapons. Each enemy you destroy and the loot box will be an opportunity for you to exchange weak guns for strong guns. Look at the color of the gun to know which is weak or strong. Once you’ve figured that out, focus on the variety of weapons you have. In other words, you want to have your own close-range and long-range guns, as well as things that can cause explosions. When you have all of those things on you, you’re ready for any battle.
Place weapons in the appropriate slots
This tip is extremely useful, especially when a fight occurs and you are not ready for it. You want to keep your arsenal in the appropriate slots, so you can take it out without hesitation. For example, I manage my arsenal from left to right: with extreme close-range weapons on the left, long-range weapons on the right, and finally healing items. This way, I can get what I need without looking down at the inventory bar.
When using a glider, watch for low positions
After leaving the bus, the glider will inflate based on your distance from the ground. In other words, make sure you always aim your character at rivers, paths, or flat surfaces on the map, rather than mountains, trees, or buildings. If you aim low, the glider will stay open longer and you’ll land faster. Getting to the ground first means you can loot before your opponent, and that means you have an advantage.
Build, build!
Always build. Not necessarily an entire stronghold, simply walls and ramps for defensive and offensive purposes. Always ready to build, ALWAYS! Build a wall when you are shot for defense, build a ramp during mid and close range combat, it not only takes bullets but gives you an advantage when shooting back! Always be ready to build walls and ramps at all times. That is important to help you win the vast majority of fights. Make sure you gather enough materials to be able to build wherever you are.
Sit still and shoot
Continuously moving and firing during combat is a bad idea in Fortnite, unless you’re holding a shotgun. Take for example the assault rifle and the burst rifle. Movement causes bullets to fly incorrectly and often causes you to lose. Instead, stand still and sit down when shooting the opponent. When sitting still, your bullets will be more accurate. This does not mean that you sit still in the middle of an open field without cover while shooting each other. If possible, sit down and shoot before firing. For example, if you spot another player but they haven’t seen you, sit still before firing. If you’re in a gunfight, use the construction tip above. Build walls/slopes for cover and every time you move out to shoot, make sure to move as little as possible.
Predict safe areas
The only thing that can help you know where and how players will move is the safe zone. Understanding how the comfort zone will affect how players move is key to predicting upcoming battles.
For example, the entire southern part of the map is covered by storms. Then a lot of players would run from south to north, and meet at the bottom of the safe zone. This will be the site of a lot of fighting for the next few minutes. This means that those above the comfort zone don’t have to worry as much about the people behind them. There will be very few enemies moving into this area. Use this to know which areas will have a lot of enemies, a lot of fighting, as well as areas that are safe and quiet.
Always remember these tips and victory will be yours soon!
