Back 4 Blood Infuriated For Having Racist Zombies – Turns Out There Was A Reason Then

Last week, Back 4 Blood started beta testing on Steam and reached the top 10 most played games on this platform today. Heir of Left 4 Dead had up to 100,000 concurrent players on Saturday night, this is definitely a very good start for the new blockbuster of Turtle Rock Studios. However, recently some players have discovered that Back 4 Blood possesses some controversial sound effects, intended to insult the black community.​

Back 4 Blood also has a herd zombies as many as Left 4 Dead, but they are clearly louder and more broken when they often scream and scream. Most of those screams were just random, but some players heard sounds that were meant to berate people of color. Those audio-recorded videos are constantly being posted and spread on social networks, making many people feel frustrated.

Twitter user @HomBKE reported encountering a zombie in the beta that lunged at players while screaming n-words. The N-word refers to nigger or nigga, a term used to refer to people of color in a disparaging manner, with the connotation of racist and insult.

Receiving this negative news, Warner Bros. immediately made a correction. The company insists this is not its intention and does not intend to offend anyone. The controversial sound above is made up of two random growls of zombies mixed together. Back 4 Blood’s development team is working hard to fix this issue during beta or at the latest before the game’s official release.
