With only about a month and a half left until Assassin’s Creed Odyssey launches, fans have already seen a lot of the game’s content before the game’s release. This week, we get a look at the battle with Medusa, one of the most famous monsters of Greek mythology. The heroine Kassandra in the clip fought very hard with the “snake goddess”, and we also got a better look at the battle system in the game.
The appearance of Medusa is clearly important in the Odyssey, given that Medusa is associated with Greek mythology. Although there are many other myths that can appear in the game, many gamers immediately think of Medusa. Kassandra in the game is forced to dodge the glares of Medusa that can turn the main character into a stone statue, and must use melee and ranged attacks.
You can admire Medusa’s battle phase in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey below:
The video illustrates the importance of fighting moves, with Kassandra utilizing the circular sparks multiple times to knock out the stone warriors controlled by Medusa. Players must know how to combine melee and ranged attacks, changing tactics to see which works.
The Medusa quest is more than just a difficult boss fight: it all begins when Kassandra sees an angry group of people preparing to attack a woman, believing her to be the summoner of the mysterious creature. The player can intervene, save the woman, and continue the journey that takes the player to the Petrified Forest. At that point, the player has the option of choosing two different directions (or completing both) to enter Medusa’s cave. These choices – through side quests and dialogues – give players the opportunity to learn more about the world, let you explore your curiosity, and create your very own Odyssey Kassandra character. .
If the Medusa quest is a prime example of what’s going on in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, gamers can expect the game’s world to be filled with quests that force you to combine different playstyles. Obviously fighting Medusa is difficult, but to get to this monster’s cave, the player must travel by boat to a remote women’s village to steal the key.
This is an opportunity for gamers to play stealthily, or fight head-to-head. Of course, the decision is still in your hands to go to this village on your own or go find out another rumour: Odyssey gives players the choice of how to approach quests.
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey will launch on October 5, 2019 on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
