Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey breaks first week sales record

While the previous version Assassin’s Creed: Origins achieved great success, the sequel Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey is not far behind. This game set a new sales record in its first release. Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey is the highest-grossing game in the first week of release in the series, surpassing both Assassin’s Creed: Origins and Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag.​

Since it was still in pre-order stage, Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey has made its name to 8th place in the list of best-selling games on Steam. And in the past week, after being released on October 5, this game has risen 7 places to take the first place, surpassing even cult names like PUBG or Monster Hunting: World. According to Steam statistics, there are 61984 gamers logged into the game at the same time, higher than the highest number of the previous version Assassin’s Creed: Origins (41541). This speaks to the irresistible attraction of this game to players.​

Based on the high reviews from reputable websites and the welcome of gamers to this game, especially in 2019 Ubisoft will not launch any new AAA games in the Assassin series but only focus on perfecting the game, Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey is very likely to become a long-term best-seller with the top grossing overall of any Assassin series game.​
