Apex Legends weapons are ubiquitous and choosing the right gun for you can play a role in early victory or defeat.
With so many weapons with different firing modes, it can be hard to choose which one or know which one is right for your playstyle. This article will simplify it, with a full list of weapons, including damage values, ammo types, and attachable attachments:
Accessories
Accessories (Attachament) add bonuses to weapons, such as improved recoil or increased headshot damage. There are a total of 5 attachment types:
- Stock attachments: Improved weapon handling, allowing you to swap weapons faster. They also reduce aim drift – meaning the barrel doesn’t recoil when aiming
- Barrel attachment: Reduced gun recoil
- Magazine attachment: Increase magazine. Reloading after equipping will refill the magazine. Shotgun bolt increases the fire rate of shotguns.
- Optic attachment: Attach an additional barrel to the weapon. They have multiple levels of aim, and the Digital Threat version will show the enemy in red.
- Hop-up attachment: Special attachments can only be attached to certain weapons. These include chokes – which reduce the spread of projectiles (shotguns) fired, helping them to gather in one spot and increase the range of the guns – and Skullpiercer Rifling which increases head damage.
Not all weapons can attach all types of attachments – we will show which attachments can be attached to which weapons in the instructions below.
Assault rifles
R-301 Carbine
Automatic, rapid-fire rifle that can be switched to single-shot mode. Has high accuracy, and when firing will recoil upwards and slightly to the right. By default, a magazine has 18 rounds.

Wingman
The magnum fired one shot at a time. 90 damage per bullet to the head: this is the most powerful pistol, but with a slow rate of fire, you need to wait for the gun to stop recoil to fire properly. You can attach the Skullpiercer Rifling hop-up attachment to increase damage to the head.
Damage: 45 when shot at people, 90 when shot in the head
Attachments: Optic, mag and hop-up (Skullpiercing Rifling) attachment.

Sniper
G7 Scout
The only Sniper to use light ammo, the G7 Scout is the lowest damage sniper rifle in the game, dealing only 60 damage per bullet to the head. A magazine holds 10 rounds, and there’s a compass displayed on the back of the gun to let you know which direction you’re heading.

Attachments: Stock, optic, mag and barrel attachment
Ammo type: Light ammo
Longbow DMR

Attachments: Stock, optic, barrel, and hop-up (Skullpiercer Rifling) attachment
Ammo type: Heavy ammo
