Apex Legends Season 3 brings big changes to the meta

With Apex Legends Season 3, many of the features and mechanics that fans are familiar with will be changed. Obviously, the biggest change is the brand new World’s Edge map, Season 3 also adds a lot of balance adjustments.

This Apex Legends balance update brings some big nerfs. Regarding weapon changes, the Longbow sniper has a reduced fire rate, returning to the state before the buff. Players can no longer spam ammo, so precise timing plays a more important role now. Shotguns are generally fully buffed, with larger small bullets, making it easier to hit. The L-Star changed the barrel, making it more visible when firing.

Players will now have new hop-ups: Anvil Receiver and Double Tap. Anvil Receiver for R-301 and Flatline. It increases damage when fired in semi-automatic mode, at the cost of two rounds per shot. Double Tap is for G7 Scout and Eva-8, it allows these two guns to fire 2 times quickly in each pull of the trigger. Disruptor Rounds and Skullpiercer hop-ups have been removed, but Longbow and Wingman’s base headshot damage has been increased, to make up for the shortcoming. These changes will definitely create a mutation, especially since Apex Legends will have a PvE mode in Season 3.

As for the Legend update, Pathfinder’s grapple has been fixed so that it activates more slowly. Although it is only a few small changes, it still forces players to re-time. Gibraltar continues to be buffed, allowing players to stay within the shield to increase their cooldown. Both Gibraltar and Bangalore have increased ultiamte damage. Wraith is heavily nerfed: players now in a portal or using phase will still lose health from the circle.

Considered the biggest and most welcome change is the Gold Body Shield. Previously, players equipped with Gold Body Shield could restore armor when ‘killing’ another player – an ability that was considered rarely used. Now, Gold Body Shield will allow players to use items to heal 50% faster (previously this feature was of Gold Backpack). Meanwhile, Gold Backpack has added a feature called Guardian Angel. Guardian Angel allows you to revive allies with 50 armor and 70 health. This item is quite suitable for Lifeline, or those who like team support gameplay.

Not all of these changes will be included in the October 1 update, some have appeared in the videos of YouTubers who have played through. Gold Body Shield is probably the best change.
