Apex Legends hits 70 million players

Apex Legends has broken a new milestone again: the player base has now reached 70 million.

Not long after its launch, Apex Legends adopted the battle pass model to add new content to the game. In the past three seasons, the game has added three new Legends, along with many weapons and more importantly, a completely new map.

The battle pass system is not the only attraction of Apex. Respawn Entertainment hosts many in-game events with unique rewards. The latest is Halloween, with the Fight of Fright event.

Meanwhile, EA and Valve have just reached cooperation agreements. Apex Legends is expected to come to Steam in 2020. Attending the Steam platform will certainly increase the number of players.

Apex launched in silence, but achieved rapid success. The game reached 10 million downloads in just 3 days, 25 million in the first week, and 50 million in a month. In addition, Apex Legends surpassed Fortnite in terms of the most hours watched in a day on Twitch.

Unfortunately, the game cannot continue that growth rate. According to statistics website Twitch Sullygnome, although viewership this month increased and peaked in 1 month, the average viewership has decreased significantly since February.

However, the fact that Apex has gained 20 million more viewers since March is a signal that the game still attracts a large fan base.
