After weeks of waiting and months of leaks, Crypto is finally out in Season 3: Meltdown, while the game changes the map from Kings Canyon to World’s Edge.

This hackable Legend changes the meta a lot, due to its ability to control Observation Drones and EMPs that can harass opponents. But how should this character be used? Here are some brave tips and tricks to help you become Apex Champion.

Don’t hesitate with Crypto

When it comes to battle royale, you can basically choose one of two ways – active or passive. You can land on a hotspot, loot temporarily, and go into combat either right away or slowly, pit everyone against each other, and try to clear up any remaining opponents.

While Crypto is considered a strong passive character, this Legend is best played actively. Call up Drones, scout, and find a way to penetrate the defenses. Use EMP to prevent them from escaping. Of course, while this Legend isn’t as good at covering the rear as Wraith, that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t hit from behind when the opportunity presents itself.

Communication is key to Crypto’s success, and it depends on the Drone. Once the Drone is in the air, make sure to communicate with your teammates as much as possible.
