Now, Rockstar continues to make players frustrated when waiting forever without seeing new content updates. To express their dissatisfaction with Rockstar, many Red Dead Online gamers are asking each other to dress up as clowns to march to protest in the game. This idea came from a group of gamers on Discord and was quickly accepted by everyone. According to their explanation, the image of a clown has two layers of meaning. Players sometimes call Rockstar clowns alluding to the lack of updates, while the players themselves are clowns as they continue to play despite complaining and criticizing the game all day long.

Although the original purpose of this “cosplay” was to express anger and frustration, many good ideas continued to arise later on. For example, the members of the Red Dead Fashion subreddit group are also organizing a circus-themed fashion catwalk. It may not make Rockstar quickly release new updates but at least gives gamers a new exciting activity, making the game a little less boring.

The frustration with the lack of updates is real, but according to Magnar, the administrator of a Red Dead Online group on Discord, they are trying to handle the problem in a positive way: “Instead of letting it turn into negative stuff. extreme and unpleasant, which is often the case in the gaming community, why don’t we do something more fun, healthy.” Hopefully this will have some impact on Rockstar and Red Dead Online players will soon receive new content.​
