Among Us là game gì mà làm mưa làm gió trên các nền tảng Stream

Among Us could be the next successful esports game

Lie contest is coming true! Recently, Faze Clan held the Among Us tournament with many streamers attending and bringing great success.

Among Us is a game that does not have the same way of playing as CSGO or League of Legends. Among Us is also tactical as well as creative gameplay, however, we can’t control who the imposter is. The element of randomness is considered a huge part of the game, and randomly picking out who is a ‘civil’ and a ‘fake’ is a must for Among Us to work.

If you’ve never played Among Us, the following guide will help you understand why randomization is so important: In each round, two players are randomly selected as imposter and the remaining players are become a normal sailor. While the crew members are trying to complete the assigned tasks, the imposter will try to win by stealthily killing the remaining crew members, if the number of surviving crew members is equal to the number of living imposters, then the ‘forgers’ will win. Crew members win if they correctly vote two imposters to drown out of the spaceship during emergency meetings (though there is always the possibility of sending out honest crewmembers if your judgment is incorrect), or if you complete all missions. How to calculate points in the tournament

To fix the randomness and help improve the gameplay of Among Us so that it can be taken into esports competitions, a points system was created. Winning while imposter will be much more difficult, so they will get 5 points when they win, while crew members only get 4 points if they win. Imposter also gets one point for each crew kill. Crew members receive two points if they correctly vote the imposter to eject and lose one point if they accidentally dismiss another crew member.

Everyone in the crew or imposter party gets points for winning, whether they’re dead or alive. However, if you’re alive you can earn extra points: you can’t kill or vote while dead. This affects the meta game. It’s very interesting to see an imposter chase another crewman, then realize he can’t keep up and everyone knows he’s the Imposter, or kill someone else in front of multiple witnesses just to earn a point before being kicked out.

However, everyone will be up against each other in the long run so even if we’re both crew members, they won’t necessarily be your teammates in the tournament. They will probably trick you into voting wrong to make you lose points, for example. In general, in this game we cannot trust anyone.

So it’s not always interesting. Crew members often play safe, travel together and travel in groups. This made it very difficult for the imposters to do anything at first: wandering away from the group would raise suspicion. And that can make the viewer boring to follow. However, the game still has moments of climax and controversy that make the game entertaining. Here is a good example from Jellypeanut:

He came out with a group of crew members, won a finishing point and then quickly convinced the others that he had nothing to do with it. His imposter teammate was voted out after that. Although he did not win this round, it was still a smart move that helped him score a point and created an opportunity to earn more points.

In the end, streamer Yetiapocalypse was the overall winner of the world’s first Among Us tournament.

You can watch the multi-hour tournament on Twitch. While Among Us is unlikely to become true esports in the future, it’s still worth watching. Maybe we will see more tournaments like this in the near future.
