Of course, both of these modes already have mods but no official support. However, Strader points out that the studio has “rethought” its attitude towards multiplayer. While he didn’t make any specific promises, Strader said that multiplayer isn’t something to talk about if a new Subnautica game comes out.

This shows that a Subnautica 3 is only in the early stages of development and is far from coming. Of course, before it can do that, Unknown Worlds needs to finish developing new additions to Subnautica: Below Zero. The game is still in Early Access on Steam, and the studio has a lot of work to do before releasing version 1.0 this spring.

The news site PCGamesN also said that Unknown Worlds also has at least one new project in the works. However, the studio does not currently want to reveal more, one possibility is that Unknown Worlds may be returning to work on Future Perfect, a game announced in 2014 with multiplayer first-person shooter capabilities. .
