After the prank, the streamer single-handedly staged a fake suicide to attract attention

To capture the audience’s attention in the middle of a forest streamer it’s not that simple. While many people assert themselves with strength, there are also many individuals who want to take shortcuts, do weird things or create scandals to become famous. The story of manually staging a fake suicide of the streamer in this article is an example. The original purpose was just to want people to pay attention, but did not expect it to go too far.

Chris ‘Ozarts’ is known as a Halo streamer/gamer under the organization EasternMediaGG. It started on January 27 when Ozarts unexpectedly posted a long status line and left a postscript: “This will be my last message on this Earth.” Not long after that, Ozarts turned off his account and did not post any more information. The next day, January 28, Twitter account HooverJMac posted that this streamer had shot himself and is now in the operating room.

While netizens and Ozarts followers worried that he was in trouble, another account Sam Miller, whose avatar looks exactly like HooverJMac’s, claiming to be Ozarts’ cousin, has accused the what HooverJMac said was a complete lie. After that, many people began to suspect that it was Ozarts who created the HooverJMac account to spread scams to the whole community with thousands of dollars in donations.

“What the hell is going on. I’m his cousin and I just found out about this 20 minutes ago, the HooverJMac account isn’t mine. Chris is fine, I just facetimed with him. Don’t believe this bullshit on Twitter.”

“We know it. I mean your cousin made a fake nick, used your photo and name to scam a whole community of thousands of dollars. He pretended to commit suicide to get attention. It’s against the law.”

As the situation worsened, Zimm, CEO of EasternMedia, the organization that Ozarts published a series of posts about to shed light on the issue. Zimm initially contacted Chris to make sure he was safe. Zimm said he does not know who the owner of the HooverJMac account is, but that this person appears to be close to Ozarts. And just a few hours later, it was all clear: it was all a script directed by Ozarts himself.

“All this was arranged by the Ozarts. He created fake accounts and created the problems himself.” According to Zimm, the streamer “felt he needed to get more attention and didn’t expect it to have gone this far.”

More than $1,000 in donations to Ozarts on GoFundMe since the incident has been refunded and Ozarts has yet to return to explain or apologize to fans for the incident.
