In spite of Riot pretty much fixed the original bug that caused this issue, but countless players are still regularly affected and have called on the dev team to work on the fix.

After the latest wave of backlash from the community on subreddit League of LegendsMr. Ryan Rigney, head of communications at Riot Games responded to fans about how the developers approached the issue.

He said: “The new approach to this is to provide a detailed update at least every two months that shares progress on the client.”

He added: “I think we’re creating a disservice to all of you and ourselves when we make vague promises about fixing it.”and promise to share technical information very clearly “Not only in terms of the improvements we are making, but also the setbacks we face.”

He revealed that fixing client error much more complicated than players think and hopefully players will understand why it took so long to solve.

Currently, Riot does not have an expected date to complete the fix client problembut they revealed at the beginning of March they will be rolling out more changes to the launcher in the coming months.
