Capcom’s latest Resident Evil multiplayer project is Project Resistance – a 4v1 game using the RE engine. Recently, Capcom has released the full gameplay of a match between players.
In the video, the view of the “mastermind” is in the upper right corner. He can summon zombies and other enemies (sometimes in front of other players), then let them roam at will or control them individually. The “survival” team must try to collect the quest pieces, and destroy the biological cores to unlock the exit, while time is counting down. If they die, they will respawn, but the meter will be deducted by 40 seconds.
The mastermind communicates through the communicator, revealing what he intends to do. It would be boring if players had to listen to these provocative sentences over and over, but maybe the full Project Resistance version will be a lot different from the trailer. Also, the closed beta will open in October, but it’s only for consoles.
It seems that fans are not really impressed with the game. The video currently has 1,500 dislikes on YouTube compared to 795 likes.
