About to make room for the PS5 controller, but the DualShock 4 still decided to add a cool accessory

Simply called the Rear Button Mount (Back Button Attachment), the new accessory is inserted into the bottom connector of handle DualShock 4. What is it? This is a small unit that adds two extra buttons on the back of the handle.

More precisely, the two extra buttons are shaped like propellers, similar to the buttons in the new generation of controllers like Scuf’s controllers or the Xbox Elite Controller line. In between the two wings is the screen OLED show button selections.

Users can set the two wing buttons as other controls on the handle, including front and trigger buttons. The accessory is also capable of storing up to three different types of settings with unique configurations.

In addition, the accessory also has its own 3.5mm connector to replace the connector of the handle. The Back Button Attachment is available starting January 23 in the US for $30 and February 14 in Europe for €30.
