60% of football fans in the UK would rather sit at home and play FIFA 19 than go to the Premier League

From the past to the present, sports competitions have always had a great influence in the world, especially football – a subject known as the king of sports, but recently an investigation on a group of people fans in England, one of the countries with the most passionate football movement in the world, surprised many people. According to Tichketgum’s investigation of 1284 football fans in the UK, these fans would rather stay at home playing football games like FIFA 19 than watching a real game.

60% of the more than 1,000 people participating in this survey said they would rather play FIFA 19 or PES 2019 than go to the stadium or sit in front of the TV to watch a real match. Moreover 54% of these think that the matches in FIFA 19 are good PES 19 should be considered a real sport. 13% think that the matches in the game are more dramatic and unexpected than the matches in real life.

Two of the most common reasons these players give is that it is cheaper to spend money to buy a football game to play than to buy tickets at the stadium, and when playing the game, they are participate directly in the match, not just sitting outside as a spectator for 90 minutes straight.

Surely when seeing these figures, the developers of FIFA 19 and PES 19 will be extremely happy. It can be seen that games play an increasingly important role and are gradually replacing the position of motor sports. A clear proof of this is that a large number of teenagers would rather sit at home all day playing games than go out to play sports.​
