Nexon Korea has been having some problems with operation team mobile role-playing game new, Counterside. Some Staff Nexon sold internal coupons that were essentially Counterside gift codes to players. These coupons are rewards for players who have given constructive feedback on Counterside content. The above matter was made public on February 19 and the results were announced on February 26. The perpetrator was suspended from work, ordered to pay a fine more than his salary, and illegal profits. 8,000 won (9.20 USD) worth from the sale has been recovered.

Nexon claims that employees will have to undergo “ethical training” to avoid making similar mistakes in the future. The second big problem was that an employee leaked Counterside updates in group chats. Although all of the information leaked was false, Nexon took the matter seriously and conducted a comprehensive survey of all internal employees. Nexon also requested assistance from the police while investigating the leak of false information.
