Cyberpunk 2077 – Strange story that gamers can break the island without doing the task

This information comes from an interview with the head of mission design of Cyberpunk 2077Mr. Pawel Sasko has confirmed that players can play the full game without completing the main quest.

Sasko said, “We built Cyberpunk based on what we learned from The Witcher 3. The Witcher has a main plot and many sub-themes. In the Cyberpunk world, the plot will be like a wheat tree with the main plot acting as the center and from there the side branches will develop and can be activated in many different ways. These side branches will change the main plot of the game. Players can still complete the game without doing the main quest. However, at this time, the end players receive will be different from those who choose other lifestyles as well as their choices when meeting and interacting with the characters in the game.

Sasko added that Cyberpunk 2077’s plot is clearly defined based on life path (lifestyle) the player chooses. For example, if you choose Nomad, the player will meet the character Jackie in different situations than when choosing a Street Kid or Corpo lifestyle.

Sasko explains: “You may notice that Jackie’s story changes depending on the life path you choose. This is an example of the influence from character’s origin up the plot. Both Jackie’s story and the player’s relationship with him change. This phenomenon has a bit of a butterfly effect. From the very beginning, the player’s choices shape their world in the game.”

Additionally, certain quests that are specific to life paths will have different endings depending on the player’s choice of life path. Cyberpunk 2077 is scheduled to launch on November 19, 2020 for Xbox One, PS4, PC and Google Stadia.
