The Last of Us movie version will expand the plot even more

HBO preparing to bring The Last of Us to the small screen, and this project will be supported by the director Craig Mazin and the executive producer of Naughty Dog, Neil Druckmann. During a BBC podcast, Mr Mazin shared that the changes made to the film will expand and complete the story without deviating from it.

Director Craig Mazin said: “I think fans of a game or novel are worried when their favorite work is produced by another unit who doesn’t really understand or will change the content. In the case of The Last of Us, I’m working on the project with the person who produced the original, so the changes we make will fill in the gaps and expand the content. to make the story more cohesive. We’re rewriting the story again and reimagining what’s already there. It’s like a dream come true to me.”

Mazin admitted that he was a little worried about the fandom of the game: “I think I might hide for a while because I can’t please everyone.”

The The Last of Us movie adaptation will focus on the events of the first season and may add some content from Season 2. The series is a production of Sony Pictures Television and PlayStation Productions.​
