Super blockbuster Avengers will have Spider-Man but…

Recently, rumors Spiderman to be PS4 exclusive characters in Marvel’s Avengers was listed by a UK retailer in the title’s description. However, developer Crystal Dynamics did not confirm this news.

Spider-Man is indeed coming to PS4 and PS5 in early 2021. This news comes from the official blog of the company. PlayStation, a post confirmed Spider-Man as a PS4 exclusive character. The post reads: “This is the perfect time to be a Spider-Man fan. The development team at Crystal Dynamics and its partners are delighted to be a part of his journey. We can’t wait for Spider-Man to be added to the Marvel’s Avengers lineup and as promised before, players can use Spider-Man for free with the purchase of the game. PlayStation.”

Marvel Avengers will release on PS4 on September 4 and on PS5 at the end of the year. Aside from Spider-Man, the only officially confirmed character is Hawkeye. The Marvel’s Avengers beta begins Friday, August 7 on PS4 and is available only to those who have pre-ordered the game. Other players will have to wait until August 14 to try out the beta on PS4. The beta will be open to all platforms for free on August 21.​
