Last night, the famous Japanese game publisher Konami held a livestream event Yu-Gi-Oh! Digital Next. Within the framework of the program, Konami also introduced to players 2 new games under this IP: Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel and Yu-Gi-Oh! Cross Duel.
According to a brief introduction from Konami, Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel will be a title card game launches on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, iOS, Android, and PC (via Steam). Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel is also the first game of the franchise to support resolutions up to 4K. Konami also plans to host a world championship tournament for this game.
Yu-Gi-Oh! Cross Duel is a card game that supports up to 4 players. The game will release on iOS and Android, temporarily the developer still keeps the details as well as the specific launch date of the game.
Besides announcing two new games, Konami also revealed more information about other names in the Yu-Gi-Oh! family. Yu-Gi-Oh! Rush Duel: Saikyо̄ Battle Royale!! is expected to be available on Nintendo Switch on August 12 in Japan and to Western markets this fall. The game includes characters from Yu-Gi-Oh! Sevens, the anime premiered in April 2020.
