Skull And Bones – Open-World pirate game officially opened on November 8

Introduction day Ubisoft Forward Spotlight recently focused entirely on Skull and Bones, which brings a lot of information such as story, gameplay, and plans for post-launch content. Skull and Bones opens with a shipwreck on the Indian Ocean during the Golden Age of pirates. Ubisoft expects Skull and Bones to have “the best naval battles” and much of the gameplay footage focuses on this. Players will plan to loot resources, use a variety of weapons to destroy enemy ships before sending soldiers on board. Weapons can include mortars, large-caliber cannons, rocket launchers and of course cannons.

The ships will be equipped with a variety of weapons. Vessels are divided into three categories including Cargo, Navigation or Firepower, each with unique gameplay and stats. Fire trains have significant damage potential but lack maneuverability. The guided train is nimble but unarmed. Cargo ships can be loaded with loot and armor, but lack firepower or speed.

Upgrading ships and equipment requires Infamy, the player receiving Infamy by completing contracts for the various parties represented at Pirate Dens. Exploration, looting merchant ships, participating in events and many other ways also help players get Infamy. Resources such as wood, ore, and animal skins to improve the arsenal can all be collected when disembarking.

Although everything in Skull and Bones can be done in solo mode, Ubisoft recommends that players team up with friends for the best experience. Skull and Bones’ post-launch content will include ingame events and additional challenges for aspiring pirate captains.
