Modder “skillful or doing” turns Intel motherboards into cool underwear.
This coaster is made from the mainboard and 1 CPU, guys :v
The CASS Designs channel on YouTube has just posted a video that turns a “Song Dynasty” motherboard into a very unique coaster, clearly seeing the LGA775 socket with the Intel chip in the middle.
The process of making a unique coaster, true to the quality of technology believers, guys
CASS Designs took inspiration from a friend’s project and turned its first PC set into a souvenir.
First, he used a Dremel hand saw to cut out a square section of the motherboard. To cover the edge after cutting, he designed and 3D printed a frame that wrapped this square motherboard, then glued these two parts together. Finally, he created a silicone mold to put the motherboard in and poured epoxy resin over it to create the final product.
However, for the epoxy resin to look transparent, the surface needs to be sanded a lot and then polished one last time. Overall, this is a pretty interesting project that doesn’t take too much time and money to do, and in return he has an extra cool coaster. If only the chip could heat up to warm the drink, or if there were more RGB lights, how good would it be, guys?
