Vito “kNgV-” Giuseppe reveals the reason for his departure and the problems surrounding the Brazilian team.

Vito “kNgV-” Giuseppe is currently a free agent after being released from Immortals. Resulting from his voluntary play in the CLG match in the EPICENTER Qualifier, while being suspended by his own Immortals organization.

The 22-year-old was criticized for threatening Pujan “FNS” Mehta on twitter after the DreamHack Montreal game. The incident happened from a tweet from a CLG member, when this member said that the Immortals players still had “headaches” (due to drunkenness) in the semi-final between these two teams. This angered kNgV-.

In a lengthy Facebook post, kNgV- disputed the fact that Immortals never said what he was punished for, and said he was allowed to play in place of his coach Rafael “zakk” Fernandes in the CLG match. at the EPICENTER qualifier.

“After DreamHack Montreal, I returned to Brazil and was told I would be punished,” he wrote. “But they never told me what the punishment was. The meeting was originally scheduled to take place after the match against CLG.

“When I went to the team chat, I wrote that I will play in the CLG match, even if it lags. After 10 minutes, steel told me I couldn’t play because I was suspended for a month.

“I am angry that no one in the organization told me this. Then they lost map 1, Lucas “LUCAS1” Teles and Henrique “HEN1” Teles asked me to play and said they texted me. [Sếp] Nick [Phan] – he agreed to let me play.

“Obviously I competed, it was the qualifying round for EPICENTER, a big event. After watching my teammates lose, I decided to play with lag or not, I wanted to help my team.

“After the game, I read Noah’s Twitter post. He then called me and said it was over.”

kNgV- reported that when he returned from Malmö with the team, he was refused to return to the US because the Immigration Service discovered that Immortals was paying kNgV- while he was in the US on a tourist visa.

This is why he didn’t play a few ESL Pro League games and in the group stage of the ELEAGUE Premier in Atlanta, Raphael “cogu” Camargo played for him.

“They (Immigration Service) found out that I was playing for Immortals and knew that a work visa (which was late) was not available yet,” explained kNgV-.

“I entered the US on a tourist visa… I was refused entry and had to return to Brazil. I was held for two days before I could return to Brazil.”

As for the night before the DreamHack Montreal final – Immortals were forced to lose map 1 after arriving late – kNgV- denied rumors that he, LUCAS1 and HEN1 had partyed before.

“Zakk, HEN1, LUCAS1 and I played cards in the twins’ room and talked about the match against CLG,” he said.

“At 1am, Zakk and I went back to our room. To be honest, I couldn’t sleep and could only take a nap at 7am.

“We woke up at 9.30 and knew we were late for the game [với] CLG. After noon, the team decided to take a short break. We were supposed to meet at 3.30 (the final was originally scheduled for 5pm).

“Zakk was quite sick at the time, so he fell asleep, in the meantime HEN1 came to our room where everyone watched the other semi-final. HEN1 also fell asleep, while I was still awake, and then steel texted us that the team would play 1 hour after that match.

“I knew the match would take place earlier than 5pm. I was supposed to be awake, but thought to myself I could take a nap and still have time because map 1 of the semi-finals was just getting underway.

“Zakk and I got up at 3.30, and we ran to the arena. We showed up at 3.40, and, for the first time, we were late. Only 5 minutes late, should have waited a bit so as not to lose the value of the finals… But, rules are rules.

“We were upset about everything and had to hear jokes about being drunk. We wanted to party too, but the team didn’t organize anything that night.

“My reaction at the time was a bit impulsive because it was a blatant slander. We were unfairly criticized.

“Losing a tournament because you overslept? It was horrible, sure, but losing because then going out to drink, is a completely different story.

kNgV- is also open about the uneasy relationship between the organization and the team. He lamented the way Immortals CEO Noah Whinston handled this case in public.

“Obviously our relationship didn’t go well after the Major, we asked for a raise (which didn’t work out), and then there was the signing of horny, which most people disagreed with. ,” he wrote.

“When Noah wrote,. Honor > all. Noah, honor is your saying I’m suspended, because I think honor is wearing the Immortals jersey and playing with all your heart and soul.

“But unlike you, I do not write to judge or criticize you. Like me, you also make mistakes, and I wish you the best, for all that you do for us.”

The Brazil international admitted that he was “sad” about the interview Lucas “steel” Lopes and Ricardo “boltz” Prass gave before the ELEAGUE Premier group stage. At that time, they said that they were “not sure” if the rest of the members drank the night before the DreamHack Montreal final.

Talking about the future of the team, kNgV- wrote that he wanted the roster to continue to play together – including having to play in a different organization – but lamented that some members “prioritize Immortals over Immortals.” the team itself.”

“I’m upset about the video where steel and boltz said they weren’t sure if we were going out that night, it was ‘terrible’,” he added.

“They know that we are not going anywhere. And they didn’t even thank me for my efforts… It’s like it’s my duty on the visa issue.

“I really want us to be together, with or without Immortals. Only the 7 of us (players, zakk and video editor Ricky) understand how much the team went through in order to get to a Major.

“No matter who the organization is, we should play together, but some members prioritize Immortals over the team itself.

“I understand their decision, but in my opinion, it is not the best decision. This team is very strong and we have achieved the best results of our career.

“Counter-Strike has always been my life. I fight very hard to be here. I’ve always had an explosive personality.

“I’m sad about what happened, and hearing we were ‘drunk’ made me lose my temper.

“I made a mistake. But this won’t make me give up hope. The war is not over yet.”

After kNgV-‘s departure, the pair HEN1 and LUCAS1 both requested to leave, forcing Immortals to withdraw from the EPICENTER qualifiers.

In a Reddit post, Whinston revealed that he will be making a public announcement about the CS:GO team’s situation on Friday.
