A new update for PUBG is about to go live and the Sanhok map will come with it.
Sanhok is ready to appear on the official server after 4 rounds of testing. The new location is set in a Southeast Asian island, with caves, ruins, hotels and resorts and small villages. This map is only 1/4 of the size of the first two maps of PUBG, Erangel and Miramar: the game will have more breathtaking gun battles in this small map.
When Sanhok went live on June 22, the game also added a new gun – the QBZ95 exclusively for the Sanhok map, replacing SCAR-L in loot. The new gun uses 5.56 ammo, and has a 1.4 times higher spawn rate than SCAR-L.
With the current 3 maps, the game will be divided into two branches. The first branch is called Battle Royale, and includes Erangel and Miramar maps. The second map is Mini Royale, currently only Sanhok.
This update also adds a number of changes to the interface including updating friends list, leaderboards, and improving replays, waiting rooms and lobbies, and in-game mini-maps. Mini-maps will now automatically zoom in or out depending on your character’s movement speed, allowing you to better see your surroundings. The circle displayed on the map has also been improved.
In an effort to promote the event PUBG Global Invitational The following month, ads were also added to the map, as well as the default skydiving skin in Erangel and Miramar maps. PUBG Global Invitational takes place from July 25 to 29 in Berlin, Germany.
The 15th PUBG update will be available on PC this June 22 along with the new map Sanhok.
