CSGO’s new graphic update contains a wall hack bug

The new update of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive has created a serious problem that makes it possible for some players to wallhack in CSGO.

A Reddit member pointed out a bug that allowed players to see enemies through silos on bombsite B map Nuke. The error seems to be caused by the recent contrast update. The patch adds a ‘contrast’ configuration to the game and the purpose is for the character to stand out from the game’s environment.

Ever since Valve introduced the character model in the Shattered Web update last November, players have repeatedly complained that some characters are sometimes hard to see in the game environment.

The “High Contrast” update aims to change the contrast between the character models so that they can easily see the textures in the map. Looks like this update created a wallhack error in csgo.

CSGO has seen a lot of changes over the past few months, with new configurations appearing almost weekly. These changes range from chat filtering to changing the door in Dust2.

According to the CSGO blog, the new contract filtering feature is an effect that takes place after processing. That is, it will be processed after everything else in the game. This may be the reason why some gamers can see the outline of the character model in some maps.

Previously, some CSGO gamers also turned on Ambient Occlusion in their video card control panel to see through smoke.

Given the volume of updates CSGO has received recently, hopefully this bug will be fixed soon, especially since the Regional Ranking ESL One Rio tournaments are CS Summit 6 and WePlay! Clutch island is about to begin. For the time being, if you don’t want to be posted to Overwatch in CSGO, perhaps you should consider turning off this configuration.
