Toad’s mushroom cap in Mario is actually the character’s head

One of the most awaited questions about Toad is whether the mushroom cap on the character’s head is a hat or is it really his head. Now that the answer has been confirmed by Nintendo, it’s the character’s head!

Yoshiaki Koizumi, producer of Super Mario Odyssey, posted a video on Twitter answering a few questions about his game. One of those questions involved Toad and the famous mushroom hat on his head. Players often wonder if it’s the character’s hat or part of his body, and the controversy has not yet reached a unified answer. But Koizumi officially confirmed it to be the character’s head.

Koizumi says in the video that he wants to “let the fans figure it out for themselves.” Koizumi asks the question “what could be inside?”, leaving the player to guess what is really inside Toad’s head.

The video also posted the question “What happened to Mario’s navel?” Koizumi was quite surprised by the question, he “never thought it would be the subject of discussion among fans.” He also added that he will “come back to this topic when he meets with the designer.” Nintendo and game developers always seem to create curiosity in players, even the smallest detail, and no one thinks it can be a topic of discussion.

Players can find some of the answers they’ve been wanting to ask about Super Mario Odyssey after the game’s huge success and became one of the three best-selling games of 2017. Super Mario Odyssey shows no signs of stopping.

Nintendo announced earlier this year a free update to Super Mario Odyssey, which includes a new game mode featuring Mario’s younger brother Luigi. This new mode will include a hidden ball contest, to see who can put the balloon in the hardest to find position.

Players seem to be enjoying this mode and Super Mario Odyessey shows no signs of stopping development and continuing to expand its fan base.
