Fortnite surpasses PUBG, why?
Fortnite has recently appeared on the US television station ABC, showing that this game is becoming more and more popular. Today, the latest information shows that Fortnite Battle Royale has surpassed PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds in terms of most watched and streamed on Twitch.
As you can see from the stats given by SullyGnome, it seems Fortnite has been a hit on Twitch over the past few weeks with the latest numbers showing it’s almost double the engagement on PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. Over the past 14 days, Fortnite has been tracked for a total of 4,882 years, 208 days and streamed for a total of 246 years, 231 days.
The reason behind Fortnite’s growth on Twitch can be attributed to the recent partnership between Epic Games and Twitch Prime. Those who use Twitch Prime will receive free beauty skins. Also, another factor that helps Fortnite overtake PUBG in the list of most watched and streamed games on Twitch could be the fact that the Battle Royale part of Fortnite is free, and it’s available on PC, PlayStation 4, and consoles. Xbox One, while PUBG is only available on PC and Xbox One.

However, while Fortnite has overtaken PUBG as the most watched and streamed game on Twitch for the time being, we need to keep in mind that the trend may change in the future. Previously, the CEO of PUBG Corp, Chang Han Kim, has expressed his wish to bring PUBG to PS4 if given the opportunity, and this will certainly increase the number of players of this game.
