Watch Last Week (Part 7)
Free games worth playing in the past 7 days as of August 12, 2018:
Chogue by Jonathan Lessard and Pippin Barr
‘Chogue’ is a pun between Chess and Rogue. This is a smart, tactical dungeon crawl game with a hint of horror that forces you to think twice before making a decision.
After the traditional round of chess, the game changes to Rogue, but this time it will be pieces instead of mice and kobolds like in Rogue. And they move like chess pieces, for example, the Knight moves in the shape of an L. Control the pieces and confront the enemy. The randomness of the AI and the obscured vision add an element of randomness to the game. Overall, this is a game worth experiencing. You can download the game here.
Help Hurt Hopp by Daniel Linssen
This is a game that probably requires 3 people to play well. If there are some friends and handles there, Help Hurt Hopp is sure to be fun. This is a platform game where one player is in charge of jumping, while the other two help out. Let’s switch roles to make the game more new. You can download the game here.
Wake Up by Philisophic Games
Wake Up is one of those impressive retro survival horror games. Despite the low resolution, the movement in the game looks very nice. With careful investment, mainly thanks to the creepy camera angles, you will feel the horror of the game when moving around.
The interesting point in the game is not in the puzzles but in the “run” button, but not really. Instead of making the character move faster, the “run” button speeds up time, along with time-lapse effects. This is a creative and entertaining way to refresh the idea of ”running” fast. You can download the game here.
The Child of Hagar by ghoulishkid
The character has to find the body to make food for his “child”. Set in Victorian London, the stealthy 2D/3D game requires you to weave your way through graves and dig to find bodies. You can download the game here.
Faith: Chapter II (demo) by Airdorf
This classic retro horror game will make you scared even though the graphics in the game look quite simple. The demo of Faith: Chapter II is quite similar to the previous version, but the graphics are somewhat improved with scary invisible monsters. If you are a fan of horror games, you should try Faith, and then chapter II of this game. You can download the game here.
